Displacement is not an unusual occurrence in the life of Oscar Villalobos, an artist who had to emigrate from the jungles of San José del Guaviare, his native region, to various places until settling in Bogotá. It is not strange, therefore, that the artist continues to move, although now through painting, and no longer in the boats and canoes of his childhood, but on foot, and not now through lush jungle vegetation, but through the streets of a crowded concrete jungle that exemplifies the disorderly growth of many contemporary cities.
